PEER SUPPORT PROGRAMME

In the first term of each year, the School's senior students in the Year 6 class undertake training in delivering a Peer Support Programme. As part of their training, the Year 6 students attend a two day camp at Camp Quaranup and a one day GRIP Leadership Conference.

In Term 2, the Year 6 students run a weekly multi-age, small group presentation over eight weeks to their younger colleagues in students from Years 1 to 5.

The students become the teachers on topics such as resilience or friendship. The peer support program is immensely popular with the younger students, who enjoy being taught by their near-peers.
