Partnership With Parents
Parents and carers are essential partners in early education, and our playgroup offers a welcoming space for families to meet, share, learn together, and support each other.
Session Details
For children aged 18 months to 3 years, accompanied by a parent or guardian on Fridays, 9am - 11am.
Places are open to all families, with priority given to those already enrolled or intending to enrol at Parklands.
Environments Built for Discovery
Inspired by Montessori philosophy, and designed to support exploration, creative discovery, and unhurried play.
Toddlers are encouraged to "do it themselves" in carefully prepared indoor and outdoor spaces where they are free to:
-
Choose activities that match their curiosity and stage of growth
-
Work with real, tactile materials that develop practical life skills
-
Build independence through gentle encouragement
-
Engage in rhythm-based learning through stories and songs
-
Experience the joy of focused play, uninterrupted time, and meaningful movement.
These experiences build the foundations for connection, self-confidence, and respectful social interaction all while nurturing their innate desire to learn.
Sessions end with a shared snack time and songs that supports emotional wellbeing and belonging.

Discover, Explore, Belong
Building confident, curious and independent learners
At Parklands, our Friday morning Playgroup sessions offer a calm, connected space where children between the ages of 18 months to 3 years engage in rich, meaningful play experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong social, emotional and cognitive development.
Each session invites children to explore within a nurturing environment designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and connection with the warm reassurance of their parent or carer nearby.
