Alice Morgan

Pre Primary

Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a Horticulturist and was passionate about community gardens. These are places where people come together to share knowledge, connect, and learn. It was in these spaces that I discovered my love for the teaching and learning process, and how I could use that passion to inspire our youngest community members to experience the same joy and curiosity about learning and engaging with the world around them.

Now, as an Early Childhood teacher at Parklands, I have been fortunate to bring this sense of natural wonder into the classroom whenever possible. Whether through outdoor learning, storytelling, or simply encouraging children to explore their environment, I strive to create a space where curiosity thrives. This, combined with a strong desire to nurture a sense of belonging through meaningful community connections, underpins my practice and reflects my belief that we are guiding children to become connected, compassionate, and inspired members of the world.

Teaching at Parklands allows me to bring my personal philosophies into practice, in a school whose values align with my own. In class I get to witness children grow into confident, capable learners who are excited to keep asking questions about the natural world, their community, and themselves. The small, everyday connections they make, their realisation that learning is for them, and that school is a place of joy and meaning, make teaching att Parklands a deeply rewarding experience.
