Social & Emotional Learning

Nurturing the heart, just as much as the mind

At Parklands School, the development of emotional literacy in our students is just as important as their academics. Through daily modelling of respect and care, along with thoughtfully structured resilience and social and emotional learning programs, our students are supported to develop the inner skills they need to better understand themselves and others.

Our approach supports students to grow into kind, self aware and resilient young people. They learn to understand their emotions, navigate relationships, resolve conflict with empathy, and speak up for what's right both courageously and compassionately.

Peace Project

The Peace Project is our whole school commitment to nurturing empathy, emotional intelligence, and respectful relationships. Guided by international Peace Pedagogy, students learn to resolve conflict, embrace diversity, and lead with kindness by creating safe, supportive spaces where care, compassion, and connection are part of everyday life at Parklands.
