Supporting Every Step Of The Way

Guiding and helping students to feel safe, seen and confident to grow

At Parklands School our Education Assistants, Student Support staff and programs are a vital part of every student's learning journey. They offer guidance, and provide students with the confidence and tools to adapt their own personal strength in both structured and unstructured spaces.

Inspired by Montessori philosophy and whole child development, our support team nurture children's natural curiosity and independence through purposeful, sensory rich experiences. From co-regulating with a peer in the playground, to guiding focused small group learnings, their presence and these experiences support every student, enable them to feel seen, and provide them with the courage and safe spaces to grow. Laying the emotional foundation for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Student Wellbeing Officer

Emotional wellbeing lays the foundation for confident, curious learners - children who can connect, express themselves, navigate challenges and bounce back with resilience. Our dedicated Student Wellbeing Officer plays an important role in supporting and strengthening the emotional and social development of every student.

Peer Support Program

Our Year 6 students take on unique leadership roles guiding younger peers in small, multi-age groups to explore resilience, connection, and responsibility. This nationally recognised initiative develops  leadership, emotional literacy, and a strong sense of belonging across the school. Together, students help shape a culture grounded in kindess, respect and community.
