Learning That Extends Beyond The Classroom

For curious minds to move, stretch, and grow

At Parklands School, our students learn and explore with their body, mind and spirit as they engage in rich programs that are designed to inspire growth, resilience and curiosity.

A student's typical day might begin with mindful movement or outdoor play, shift into focused literacy and numeracy work, and finish with collaborative projects or Noongar language and culture under the trees.

Through programs like Bush School, Aussie Optimism, and our broader Enriched Learning subjects, students are encouraged to take healthy risks, solve real world problems and collaborate with others, all under the guidance of our skilled Teachers and Education Assistants.

We treat every moment as a learning opportunity to grow in knowledge, character and to develop a deeper understanding of the world around us.

Primary Years 1 - 6

Strong academic foundations, steady support, and vibrant learning

In the primary years, every day begins with physical movement to energise the body, followed by focused literacy and numeracy sessions. Every child is met where they are and are supported by skilled teachers and dedicated educational assistants in every classroom who provide consistent, responsive support and genuine encouragement

Core academic skills are strengthened by connecting what they learn in the classrooms with the world around them through collaborative projects, real life and hands on experiences, and outdoor exploration.

Weekly specialist sessions in visual arts, music, Noongar language and culture deepen connection and offer rich, expansive learning. Multi-aged play and respectful classrooms nurture friendships, emotional resilience and a strong sense of self.

By Year 6, students confidently step into leadership roles, engage in off  campus sporting  experiences such as surfing and tennis, and participate in a two night camp that celebrates their growth and transition into adolescence with confidence.

Pre Primary

Purposeful play, growing independence, and natural curiosity

In Pre Primary, our students step into an environment designed entirely for them. One that's warm, light-filled, scaled to their needs, rich with sensory materials, and is seamlessly connected to nature. Our award winning landscaped play areas invite movement, choice and moments of discovery throughout the day.

Foundational literacy, numeracy and social-emotional skills are nurtured through purposeful play and guided exploration. With our Montessori inspired principles working to develop independence, focus and confidence for students to learn at their own pace and support their holistic development.

Holistic Learning In Primary Years

A strong academic foundation guided by heart, curiosity, and kindness

At Parklands School, education is a journey that honours each child's natural rhythm, innate potential and boundless capacity to learn, lead and belong.

From Pre Primary through to Year 6, students learn in an environment where academics sits alongside emotional intelligence and social responsibility.

Inspired by Montessori principles, our programs nurture confident, independent thinkers who are capable of both academic success, and have a deep sense of empathy, resilience and respect.

Whole Child Learning

Montessori-Inspired. Academically grounded

We believe that intellectual growth and emotional wellbeing go hand in hand. When students feel supported, respected and engaged, they're free to explore their potential both academically and personally.

Every classroom at Parklands School is intentionally designed to support calm, focus, independence and intrinsic motivation. Inspired by Montessori philosophy, our teaching balences freedom with structure, encouraging hands-on discovery, multi-age collaboration, and a deep respect for each student's unique pace and way of learning.

Our students are guided to take ownership of their learning, communicate their needs with confidence, and build relationships on mutual respect. Our whole child developmental approach nurtures strong academic outcomes while shaping self aware, resilient young people who are prepared to lead with clarity, empathy and courage.

Why Families Choose Parklands

Families are drawn to Parklands School as it is where academic excellence and whole child education exist in harmony.

If you are seeking a school that values your child's mind and their wellbeing, where their academic potential is nurtured just as much as their emotional understanding, we invite you to see how we grow students to become lifelong learners.
