Hello there! My name is Essie, and for the past 9 years, I've been a part of the wonderful Parklands school community, first as a playgroup leader and then as a co-educator.

From a young age, I felt a strong pull towards working with children. This passion led me to complete a Diploma of Children Services right after high school. Since then, I've gained valuable experience in various early childhood settings. One thing that has always resonated with me is the importance of focusing on the social and emotional development of children. I believe that when children form positive connections with their carers and peers, it paves the way for their growth in all other areas.

There's something magical about a child choosing to connect with me in their own unique way and at their own pace. These organic connections often blossom into long-lasting relationships, providing a safe and secure foundation for the child's learning journey.

Parklands' emphasis on wellbeing is something that deeply resonates with my personal values, honed over a lifetime of working with our little ones. I love my role and feel right at home creating connections with each child. It's a joy to foster friendships among them as they navigate their way through the school environment.
