I have had the pleasure of working at Parklands for thirteen years as an Education Assistant. Before starting at Parklands, I was a cook in a child’s daycare centre, as well as a foster carer and I decided working with children directly to support their learning was my passion.

My favourite subject is maths. I remember one year, a student would cry at maths time. By the end of the year, this student wrote me a Christmas card saying “thank you for making maths fun”. These are the things that make teaching so rewarding for me. I really enjoy making learning enjoyable and engaging for all our students.

I love craft, especially crocheting, paper craft and sewing. I enjoy helping students bring out their creative sides and I love being able to share these skills with others.
