Kristy Innes
Kindergarten
I joined Parklands in 2025 to teach Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten, bringing over 21 years of experience in early childhood education. Throughout my career, I have taught in a variety of settings—including international schools, city classrooms, and rural and remote communities—each offering unique opportunities to learn and grow alongside my students.
I was drawn to Parklands because of its caring, close-knit community. Its guiding principles of respect, kindness, fairness, creativity, and community deeply align with my own values and shape how I teach and build relationships with children and their families.
As an Early Childhood Teacher, I am passionate about play, hands-on inquiry, and nature-based learning. I believe these approaches provide meaningful opportunities for children to explore, deepen their understanding of the world, and grow into confident, capable, and empowered young learners. I value each child’s individuality and strive to create a nurturing learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and fully engaged in their own unique journey.
Working with young children as they begin their school journey is both a joy and a privilege. I am truly grateful to do this important work within such a supportive and connected small school community.
