I joined the Parklands Board when my daughter was transitioning from Kindy to Pre-Primary. Having chosen Parklands for its commitment to child focussed teaching, community spirit, outdoor and experiential immersive learning, and holistic approach to education; I was heavily invested in the continued success of the school.

As a local business owner with 10+ years of experience in the finance industry, and a Bachelor of Business (majors in Agriculture and Sustainability) I was asked to take on the role of Treasurer, and I have been incredibly humbled by the opportunity ever since. The Parklands Board is a small group of passionate, highly skilled, and very invested volunteers who I am thrilled to work alongside. Our collective mission and shared goal is for Parklands School to continue to provide the very highest quality of educational experience for our students and families, whilst not compromising on our commitment to the philosophy of 'Learning for Life'.

What inspired me to join, and continues to drive me in the role of Treasurer, is that our teachers, EA's, admin team, and groundskeepers love this place; the team and community that exists within the heart of this school comes from a place of genuine, authentic care. At Parklands School students are taught lessons that will serve them far beyond the classroom.

My absolute FAVOURITE and most important role is being Mumma to my vivacious, firecracker of a daughter; my daughter who I will be forever grateful found her place in a school that has taken every ounce of her spunk and taught her how to channel it, rather than demanding her to squash it. I strongly believe that we get out what we put in, and this is true for life, our community, our education, our kids, our relationships, ourselves - everything!
