Michelle Gust
Student Wellbeing Officer
I was drawn to working at Parklands because of the value placed on building an inclusive community with an exceptional focus on student wellbeing. What keeps me here is the supportive environment and the commitment to holistic care and education.
I have worked across the school as an Education Assistant and now as the Student Wellbeing Officer. I endeavor to support students to discover their individual strengths, develop social and emotional skills and foster an inclusive and safe environment.
I believe every student has the potential to succeed when they feel seen, heard and supported. I am passionate about bringing empathy and consistency to my work everyday, knowing that relationships are at the heart of meaningful learning.
To me “Learning for Life” means nurturing not only academic knowledge but also the skills, attitudes, and values that help students become kind, resilient and curious individuals. It's about lifelong growth, reflection and a readiness to adapt in a changing world.
