Pepper
Wellbeing Dog
As the Parklands School Wellbeing Dog, I have been working my magic across the school for the past three years. From morning greetings at school drop-off, to working alongside therapists or classroom visits, I am an expert at tuning in to humans who are stressed, anxious, sick, or sad. Whenever I am around, students will stop to greet me, patting and chatting while stroking my soft curly coat, as I wag my tail in reply.
I am a Poodle x Cavalier/Cockerspaniel, bred and donated by Peppertree Lane, carefully selected for temperament and trained under the expertise of Donna Russell, from EveryDay Dogs. My wellbeing is carefully managed by the admin staff, and when I am not at school, I love to lounge in the sun or enjoy walks in the bush or on the beach. My superpower is my sense of smell; in another life, I would have been a fabulous Truffle Dog!
Known and loved throughout the school by students and staff alike, I spread happiness, connection and smiles wherever I go.
