Phoebe Duff
Visual Art Educator
As the Visual Art Educator at Parklands School, I am passionate about nurturing creativity and curiosity in my students. I believe the arts are essential for a holistic education, fostering a range of valuable skills and dispositions that make learning joyful and enriching.
My approach has been deeply influenced by the Project Zero conference at Harvard Graduate School of Education, which I attended early in my career. This experience shaped my focus on developing students' artistic thinking and critical inquiry skills. It is incredibly rewarding to see our students observe, reflect, persist, and explore during art class, building their skills and confidence year after year.
Beyond the classroom, I maintain my own art practice, which keeps me connected to the joys and challenges of creation. I feel very grateful to live in this safe and beautiful part of the world with my husband and two boys.
